Marjorie received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam, Crane School of Music and her Master of Music in Theory and Composition from the University of Northern Colorado. Her composition teachers include David Heinick, Robert Ehle and Evan Copley. From 1995-1999, Marjorie primarily composed music for small ensemble or solo works. In the early 2000s, her focus shifted to songwriting. For 16 years, she immersed herself in the performance and writing of music in the bluegrass genre. Recently, her interest has rekindled in the creation of concert music. Marjorie currently resides in Whippleville, NY; she taught in public school for over 20 years on Long Island and now teaches has a private music studio in Whippleville and teaches in Malone Central School District.
